Joshua has been such a wonderful addition to our family! We feel grateful that he’s such a good traveler (photo 1). He was delivered to us in Atlanta, GA, while we were visiting family for Christmas in 2011. When we met, he had already traveled over 900 miles by car all the way from Austin, TX! He said he enjoyed getting to see the country that way. Then he flew with us to Portland, OR for more Christmas family adventure. He just snuggled right into our carry-on and off we went. Finally, he came back home with us to Boston where he’s been hanging out ever since.
He and Pele the kitten got to know each other forwards (photo 2) and backwards (photo 3) during the first few weeks. After that, they fairly ignored one another, being interested in different things I suppose.
The elder and more easy-going feline, Maddie, became quite attached to her stuffed friend, however. She spent many an hour curled up to his warm 70′s palette (photos 4 & 5). Her passing was hard on him, but he’s now settled into his new role as house elder.
He can usually be seen lost in thought on the arm of a couch or the back of a chair. He likes to read and we’ve expanded the library a little for him, as well.Overall, it’s been an excellent fit. As a frog, he likes to blend in and the orangey-red couch we have is perfect for him. I can’t thank you enough for your organization. Joshua is part of the family and I don’t even like to imagine where he’d be if it weren’t for you.
All the best,
Alicia, Monica, Pele, and (posthumously) Maddie
