Cotton stuffing? Polyester stuffing?
Nope. Clouds. The similarities are striking!
Dr. Greentail’s typically-busy schedule was even more so this past week. He logged thousands of air miles (kindly donating his mileage points to The SARF), thus earning the nickname ‘Secretary of State[(s) of Matter]’.
During the day, he was flying off to various conferences and research facilities. At night, he was flying back to Austin just in time to take his place in the Stuffed Animal Petting Zoo.
On his most recent flight, he took the opportunity to snap a few photos for us to help illustrate the basics of Thread Theory.
Dr. Greentail posits that the link between stuffing and clouds goes far beyond the visual. Just as the structure of a crystal viewed under powerful magnification mirrors the full size crystal we see with the naked eye, Dr. Greentail theorizes the same holds true for clouds and the threads that form their basic structures.
