HELP! SA-napping (as in GONE, not sleeping)!!!
On 22, Dec 2014 | In News, SA Updates | By The S.A.R.F.
Have you seen this stuffed animal?? He disappeared from 37th Street petting zoo sometime last night!!
This has NEVER happened before. And we need him back!!! So sad! So many have applied to adopt him! This is not cool.
Where are you, Benjamin, Chief Corporate Strategist of The SARF, LLC??
His cubicle is empty. His motivational posters still hang encouragingly on the walls.
Find Him!! Help, everyone!! Spread the word!
Let’s rally.
Bring him back. No questions asked.
I love you, Felix

Uh-oh, I have a problem. I just have to be honest. I know we haven’t known each other for very long. And I know this is wrong. Very wrong! It goes against everything I’ve ever learned about doctor-patient relations, even from soap operas. But I can’t help it. I am in love. That’s right, Felix, I’m in love with you, and I don’t care what the people say. I don’t care what the stuffed animals say. I don’t care what your owner says (Okay, that’s not true. I do care very much what your owner says. I swear).
I love your tiny disproportionate ears and your stubby little tail, and the way your head slouches forward like you’re in dire need of militant Iyengar Yoga instructor.
I know you’ll just be here for a very short time, but that’s okay. We can cherish the time we do have together while you’re visiting the SARF Spa.
Oh, Felix, don’t be sad. Don’t stare down your snout at me with those little brown eyes of yours.
Come on, let’s go shopping for material for that new nose of yours. It’ll cheer us up.
What’s that? You want to give me another hug? Another one? Well, of course you can, Felix. That’s perfectly acceptable.
Petting Zoo 2014!
On 12, Dec 2014 | In News, SA Updates | By The S.A.R.F.
It’s that time again! The 37TH ST Petting Zoo will be (ahem) “soft opening” tonight (Friday). We’ll probably still be setting up, but there will at least be animals wandering about (when picked up). It gets dark so early these days! And you know how stuffed animals procrastinate! I mean, not all of them, of course. But still… We welcome your encouragement (meaning stopping by and telling us to hurry up).
SO, Super Mega First Awesome Night of petting zoo will be Saturday! Tomorrow! Then it will be out every night through next weekend, weather permitting…
We have plenty of SAs available for adoption… You’ll be seeing them on the website soon. Their bios are due in to me by no later than 1pm, and they lose a letter grade every 30 minutes thereafter.
See you soon!

Update:Lorca
On 30, Apr 2013 | In News, SA Updates | By adopter
This is Natalie, the adopter of Lorca!
I received Lorca a few days ago in the mail after months of anticipation.
I first met her at the Petting Zoo in Austin on 34th Street in December. I was visiting a friend and I fell so in love with Lorca.
She is adjusted so well into her new home in Vancouver BC!
I arranged all my stuffed animals in a semi circle on the bed while we unwrapped Lorca from the packaging. It was quite the celebration. She nuzzled each of them and has become Best Friends with my SA named Spud. He is a big potato and pretends that he is a whale sometimes.
You have no idea how much I love her and what this means to me that an organization like this exists. I feel like I’ve become a part of a family of people who understand exactly what its like to have SA’s as Best Friends.
Its a really good feeling. Attached is my signed contract and a photo of Lorca and I. The image on the left is her when I saw her in Austin. Such a cutie she is!
Thank you!!
Update: Dr. Abel Long, DC
On 12, Apr 2013 | In News, SA Updates | By adopter
I adopted Dr. Abel Long, DC back in 2011. He is doing well here in the Northwest (Bremerton, WA), enjoying the cooler weather. Having more rain in these parts is a bonus… Dr. Long doesn’t feel the need to be outside doing this or that & rather enjoys it indoors- sitting by the window looking out, watching the geese or ducks flying over, or snuggling up in a quilt & catching an old movie on TV. He seems happy in his retirement!
