Stuffed Artist’s Statement:
I explore the transformative power of art, tapping into pure feeling through abstract usage of soft media typically used to create entities such as myself. By constructing compositions with primordial stuffy materials, I afford the viewer an opportunity to look deeper into the realm of the stuffed animal. The viewer is just that: merely a viewer. The material is soft to the eyes, but there is a barrier. One can look but cannot touch. This creates a spiritual longing that illustrates the complex spiritual relationship between a stuffy and its living companion.
