Benito

Hola, mi nombre es Benito. I am a multi-instrumentalist. Over my long career, have played with all the stuffed animal greats. I am known for my virtuosity in both flute and percussion. Because my ears are much longer than my arms, I developed my own style of playing by ear.

My method and style has influenced a whole generation of younger stuffed rabbit (and other similarly-proportioned SA) musicians. And though I am less flexible than I used to be, I still practice every day- and I also enjoy teaching young musicians who are just starting out.

Catalina

Hello, friends. I am Catalina. I am a certified hypnotherapist. I am actual the only licensed stuffed animal hypnotherapist in the city. Stuffed animal hypnotism is quite different from human hypnotism and requires many years of additional training and supervision.
Due to their inanimate nature, it is more difficult to determine when an SA is actually under hypnosis- but I have helped many SAs live happier, healthier lives!
I am looking for a living companion who will encourage me in my professional life and who also enjoys a good-natured staring contest every once in awhile.

Chester

I have always felt uncomfortable with my permanent seasonal embellishments, but when I moved to Austin, they became almost unbearable. I had a permanently-attached wool scarf and winter-themed embroidery on my right foot, but I have always loved all types of weather. My former living companion would keep my in a closet most of the year, only taking me out during the winter holidays- like I was a decoration! When I found The SARF, I asked if they’d be willing to perform Seasonal Reassignment Surgery. I was thrilled to hear that their surgeons are pioneers in the field. Their head doctor was the first to ever perform the procedure, so I knew I was in good hands! I am now almost fully healed, and I am enjoying my first scarf-free summer ever. I feel great!

*Note: Due to recent surgery, Chester’s foot might still be slightly sensitive to the touch!

Jamal

When I first started skydiving, I was pretty scared- but my dad always encouraged me. He used to say, “Your fear is your only limit!”

He also reminded me that I don’t have the same delicate internal organs as living animals, so I could probably survive a big fall without my insides getting smushed.

My dad was right about both of those things! The more you do something, the less scared you become, and my insides are a pretty durable mix of cotton and polyester. My passion has taken me to some of the most beautiful places on the planet, and I’ve helped hundreds of SAs overcome their fears and learn how to skydive, too!

Juan

Hello. I’m Juan. It’s a pleasure to see all of you! I’m a bit of a character, and I’m looking for a living companion that isn’t afraid to be exactly who they are. I enjoy pretending to play fetch, laying on my stomach on cold tile floors during the summer, watching college football (Go Dawgs!) in the fall, sewing, beadazzling, and snuggling on long car trips. I love meeting new people, and I can’t wait to get to know my new living companion!

Marta

My cousin Roxy is my very best friend. But she is alwaysreally far to the right, and I am always really, really far to the left. It makes it hard to communicate sometimes.

It’s the worst at holiday dinners when everyone is gathered around the table talking. We have a large, diverse family- so that table is really big! Roxy is always sooo far away that I can’t hear anything she says!

And when we go to the movies, we can never share popcorn- because she sits way over on the right side, and I sit way over on the left!

So once a month we make sure to hang out together in a very small room. That way, we can both sit where we want but still be sitting right next to each other!

Roxy

I’m definitely pretty right winged, but I always try to keep an open mind. I have both left winged and right winged friends, and I value the diversity of their opinions. I respect them, and they respect me. There are even some instances where I lean a bit toward the left wing myself! Especially when I play softball! I’m actually a pretty good switch hitter, and I like to keep the pitchers guessing. I don’t get to play too often anymore, though, because I’m always busy calling the games.

Tiana

My name is Tiana. I am a stingray, but I definitely don’t sting! I am very friendly and very soft. I am a strong swimmer, and I love my job taking care of our community pools! I particularly enjoy keeping the bottoms of the pools free of algae and bugs. I am very good at my job.
My boss says I’m the most efficient employee she’s ever had! I guess it’s because I can spend all day on the bottom of a pool without even coming up for air- and I never need to take lunch breaks!
