I’m a tennis pro. I’ve been trying to give lessons during my stay, but it gets kind of complicated because stuffies have such a diverse number of limbs and fingers or paws or claws. You can’t really teach standard grips. I get discombobulated just trying to get everyone’s terminology right. Is it a backhand of a backpaw? What about sloths- with toes on their hands? And frogs with webbed feet? I’ve enjoyed my stay here at The SARF, but I’m looking forward to getting back to teaching humans. It’s so much easier when my students have fingers with knuckles on them.

I’m an air filter salesperson. You might think that’s a boring job for someone as colorful as I am… but let me tell you: The world of air filters is as diverse and interesting as the world of stuffed animals. Like stuffies, air filters come in myriad shapes and sizes: square, rectangle, short and squat, long and lean. And let’s not forget particle filtration levels! I eat, sleep, and dream MERV ratings. Obviously, I’d love to be adopted by a heating and air conditioning professional, but I’m open to any living companion who has an interest in maintaining optimal indoor air quality.

I used to drive one of those big compost trucks- the ones that go around the streets and grab the green bins and sling them up over the truck and dump out the compost into the top of the truck. My truck was AWESOME. Have you ever watched one in action? Now that I’m retired, I love to go out on the porch on Friday mornings and wave to my old friends as they drive by in their cool trucks.

I’m an astronomer. I’m a colleague of Dr. Byron Greentail, a former SARF resident, but he specializes in the educational side of astronomy, whereas my ‘focus’ is more observational. I work with telescopes. Get it? My focus? I’d love to be adopted by someone who lives a little outside of town where the skies are darker- but I’m open to any living companion who is curious about the universe (or multi-verse)!
