This week, our new friend Monkey Puff finished up his visit to The SARF Spa. We stitched up a few fur wounds on his neck, chin, and… nether regions. We also gave him a bit of a stuffing transfusion.
Monkey Puff’s wife, Muffy Puff, accompanied him on his visit. The two of them had a great time relaxing and socializing with our permanent and temporary residents.

Monkey and Muffy arrived in spooning position, Monkey being the big spoon (dressed in scrubs), and Muffy, the little. Monkey Puff’s living companion sent a note to help him find his way home in the case of separation from his box. Thankfully, he arrived without incident.
Monkey Puff’s surgery went as planned, with no complications. Muffy Puff was by his side the whole time, holding his hand and inspecting the doctor’s work.

Monkey Puff signed up to attend our Creative Writing class while he was here, so it wasn’t all play and no work for he and Muffy. They did a fair amount of reading, in addition to writing and workshopping a story. Muffy Puff enjoyed auditing the class, but she doesn’t fancy herself a writer like Monkey does. She was content to do some more relaxing while her hubby hit the books.

When it was time to go, Monkey and Muffy packed up their things (and were themselves packed up) and prepared for their journey home to Alabama. We sent a few medical supplies along just in case they ran into any post-op complications, but none are expected. We made sure to attach a note to Monkey Puff’s scrubs showing his home address, just as his living companion had done for his journey to us.
