Elena is The Stuffed Animal Rescue Foundation's current Writer-in-Residence. She is documenting day-to-day activities at The SARF Headquarters through a series of haiku. Elena has an MFA from The University of Michigan, and her poems and short stories have been published in McStuffy's, Hoofshares, and American Stuffed Fiction.
